Open every day
Espresso, pour over
Coffee: The Good Coffee Cartel
Also: Cakes, meals
Coolness: Big social community-minded space

For FIKA Sake (3♥) takes its name from the Swedish cultural institution of 'coffee with friends' and serves Glasgow-based roaster the Good Coffee Cartel.

Alongside espresso-based coffees you can enjoy a range of cakes, including Scandi-inspired cinnamon buns. They also have a 'Nord kitchen' food menu that's creative and varied. For example you may enjoy roast pork - barley and beer mustard porridge, or sweet cured salmon - little gem - peas and broad beans, or  kale - broccoli - asparagus and garlic and seed butter.

The literal writing on the wall at For FIKA Sake spells out their approach to shop-life: "Bringing Scottish hospitality and the Scandinavian fika together. True fika is all about being present, stopping a while and spending time in the day with one another."

To top off what is already a friendly and inviting atmosphere, For FIKA Sake is a social enterprise that offers employment and skills development to young people.
