When did you establish your business? 
We opened September 2012

What’s your favourite coffee style and why?
Dave: I love filter coffee, either through a pour-over or something like a Clever Dripper. They’re such simple brewing methods and they really allow outstanding coffees to shine.

Why are you passionate about coffee?
I first had a eureka moment with coffee at our roaster Has Bean in Stafford back before Brew Lab opened. I tasted a naturally processed coffee from Nicaragua and it blew me away. It was like drinking a cup of hot sherbet. Since then I have been passionate about showing people that coffee is more than just a caffeinated drink. It’s a culinary product, and we’re just starting to scratch the surface of it as an industry.

Anything else?
Brew Lab is more than just a coffee shop. We have recently opened our ‘Training Lab’ where we offer training classes to help home coffee enthusiasts improve their brewing techniques, or just play about on one of the best espresso machines on the market and taste some amazing coffees. We also brew, bottle and wholesale our own cold brew coffee in fantastic little amber bottles, as well as serving our ‘Nitro Cold Brew’ on tap at our cafes, which is infused with Nitrogen to give it creaminess. Plus, it looks like a glass of Guinness!
